Liechtenstein issued a set of two stamps to honor Dante. Koninklijke Joh. Enschedé of Haarlem, Netherlands, printed the stamps using the steel engraving process to reproduce the original pen and ink drawings of Swiss designer Thomas Giger. One stamp shows a youthful portrait of Dante and the other a hand holding a quill pen.

This set of three postage stamps was issued by Monaco to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of a committee of the Società Dante Alighieri in the principality. The stamps feature portraits of three famous Italians: Niccolò Machiavelli, Giovanni Boccaccio, and Francesco Petrarca. In the lower right corner of each stamp is a small version of Giotto's portrait of Dante surrounded by text as follows: "DANTE ALIGHIERI - MONACO 1979 - 2009". The stamps have text as follows:<br /><ul><li>70-cent stamp: at the top: "Niccolò Machiavelli (1469-1527); and at the bottom: "0,70€ / MONACO".</li>
<li>85-cent stamp: at the top: "Giovanni Boccaccio (1313-1375); and at the bottom: "0,85€ / MONACO".</li>
<li>1.30-euro stamp: at the top: "Francesco Petrarca (1304-1374); and at the bottom: "1,30€ / MONACO".</li>
</ul>
The names of the designer, printer, and engraver appear along the bottom edge of each stamp: "DE LA PATELLIERE" (Cyril de la Patelliere); "Phil@poste 2009"; and "BEAUJARD" (Yves Beaujard).

This set of five postage stamps was issued by Monaco to celebrate the 700th anniversary of Dante's birth. While the stamps are dated 1965, they were not issued until February 1, 1966. All of the stamps were designed by P. Lambert and the subjects are as follows:<br /><ul><li>The 30-centime stamp shows a left-facing portrait of Dante with text as follows: in the upper left corner: "MONACO / 1965"; in the upper right corner: "0,30"; and at the bottom: "DANTE ALIGHIERI 1265-1321". The names of the designer and the engraver appear in the lower right corner: "P. LAMBERT" and "COTTET".</li>
<li>The 60-centime stamp depicts Dante in the dark wood impeded by a leopard from <em>Inferno</em> 1:31–36. The stamp has text as follows: in the upper right corner: "MONACO 1965 / 0,60"; and in the lower left corner: "DANTE ALIGHIERI 1265-1321". The names of the designer and the engraver appear in the lower center and right corner: "P. LAMBERT" and "MONVOISIN".</li>
<li>The 70-centime stamp depicts Dante and Virgil crossing the Styx from <em>Inferno</em> 8:25–30. The stamp has text as follows: in the upper left corner: "MONACO 1965 / 0,70"; and in the lower right corner: "DANTE ALIGHIERI 1265-1321". The name of the designer, "P. LAMBERT", appears in the lower left corner and the name of the engraver appears vertically in the lower right corner: "BETEMPS".</li>
<li>The 95-centime stamp shows Dante observing praying penitents from <em>Purgatorio</em>. The stamp has text as follows: in the upper right corner: "MONACO 1965 / 0,95"; and in the lower left corner: "DANTE ALIGHIERI 1265-1321". The names of the designer and the engraver appear in the lower right corner: "P. LAMBERT" and "DURRENS".</li>
<li>The 1-franc stamp depicts Saint Bernard's intercession from <em>Paradiso</em> 31:58–142. Here the saint replaces Beatrice as Dante's guide through the Empyrean and leads him to seek St. Mary. The stamp has text as follows: in the upper left corner: "MONACO 1965 / 1,00"; and in the lower right corner: "1265-1321 / DANTE ALIGHIERI". The name of the designer, "P. LAMBERT", appears vertically in the lower left corner and the name of the engraver appears vertically in the lower right corner: "MONVOISIN".</li>
